Nice

The French Riviera has arguably been the most popular holiday area for almost a century. Interlinked with our own Royal family Queen Victoria visited the Cote D’ Azur at the turn of the last century. Popularity from this side of the channel has grown. Considered as “the capitol” Nice offers an all year round sunshine record that is second to none, a checkered and intriguing history along with a lively night scene.

The coast line is dominated by imposing hotels and apartments which is punctuated by sub-tropical palm trees and colourful gardens. The sea front road, “The Promenade D’Anglais” provides fine views of the sweeping bay along the gulf of Lyons.

Transfers & Travel Tips

A regular bus shuttle operates from the airport to the city centre, cost approximately £3 per person. Taxi’s, dependent on hotel location will cost you £15 to £20. With Nice having such a compact Old Town it’s so easy to visit all the major sites on foot! However for the more adventurous of you, a trip by train to Monaco, Cannes or St. Tropez is well worth while.
