Geneva

Located on the Western Shores
of Lake Geneva, the city with the same name has some delightful
secrets with a unique charm of its own. The lakefront is dominated
by its towering water fountain and pleasant harbour where yachts
and pleasure boats give Geneva a bustling and colourful atmosphere.
The backdrop swifts quickly upwards to the Alps where on a clear day Mount Blanc
(the highest mountain in Europe) can be viewed. A narrated boat trip on the lake
itself is a must. The beautiful parks and small but interesting
Old Town should be visited. For those of the adventurous
nature a trip along the shore line to Lausanne or Montreaux is both worthwhile
and interesting. Geneva is not as expensive as one might think, as prices
are only a little more (or the same as) in the U.K. From Cuckoo clocks
to Fondue, Geneva will surprise many a well-seasoned traveller.
