Two thousand years ago, what is now Romanian territory belonged
to the Dacions; a population of Thracian origin. Dacia was a
rich country with a hard-working nation, and under the power
of King Burebista the state threatened even the Romans. For many
centuries since then, Romanians lived in 3 separate properties
- Valachia in the south, Moldavia in the east, and Transylvania
in the centre and northwest.
With Turkish and Ottoman influences, and invasions by the Turks,
Tartars, and the Poles, Romania was formed as recently as 1859.

such as the Magyars, Germans, Jews, Armenians, Turks, Tartars,
Serbians, Romanies, and naturally the native Romanians – the
diverse melting pot of cultures, traditions, and a carousel of
customs and dialects gives this city it’s charm.
Art galleries, pulsating nightclubs, casinos, elegant traditional
churches, communist grandeur, and modern skyscrapers – all
these blend in an almost mosaic fashion. Bucharest boasts the
second largest building in the world, which is the Parliament

does not disappoint. Palaces, too, are abound from a rich and
turbulent past. Situated close to the Bulgarian border, Bucharest
