Belgrade has numerous attractions to keep visitors busy with something for everyone including the Royal Palace, Tito’s Tomb, the Kamalgden Fortress, cruises on the Danube, the largest Orthodox church in the world, St Sava, numerous museums and galleries. The cost of a one day ‘hop-on/hop-off’ bus pass is £8, 48 hours -£15 and an open top guided bus tour is £4 for adults and £2 for children.

Other new tours include the Rakia Tour, which takes a look at Bohemian life in Belgrade and where tourists sample six brandies with typical snacks in three different venues in the city (£12); a costumed hosted English speaking tour ‘Coffee at Princess Ljubica’s’ takes a close look at how people lived during the Obrenovic Dynasty with a tour around the palace and coffee (Saturdays only £2) and launching in mid December every Friday and Saturday evening will be a new sightseeing tour of the city by tram.

Belgrade’s vibrant nightlife is the best to be found in the Balkans with free entry to most night clubs, opera and theatre tickets ranging from only £1-£7 and a dinner with wine from £7.
